TACTICS: With summer upon us we have switched it up to more floating and subsurface baits. Rising water temps, vegetation growth and hot days have the big bass sitting in the shade and weed pockets. They are using shore and the surface as their ambush points. Try waking the Wade Hoggs, Nezumma Rat, DRT Joker, or any other topwater/wake bait up shallow in order to entice the big ones. Many anglers find better success when fishing at night during the summer months.

Locating fish may be the hardest variable in the formula of catching trophy fish. An indication of that is that when someone sees a catch posted and asks "where?". Be respectful of an anglers hard work and priceless time that goes into capturing a trophy fish.
