Ali Posted June 14, 2013 Report Share Posted June 14, 2013 I have fished it quite a bit. To me a 2 oz glide bait is tough to use on a Dobyns 806 and specially the 867. But that's just me. I like the LDC Production MH or in Dobyns speak, the 795ML.The main reason I like the lighter rods is because it is already tough to hold fish on these baits due to the goofy way fish hit them so a bit of a bend in the rod helps keep fish pinned. A faster ration reel at around 6:1 should be perfect. Specially if fishing out of a boat. These baits like speed. The bait is 100% wood. Well, except the stuff that should be metal (keepers, rings, hooks, etc...)
