Weighed some baits today and just wanted to share the info...it surprised me a little. Also, I weighed the baits on our club scales so it's not 100% accurate but the closest I can get. The scales weigh by 0.01lbs, so I've included that weight and also the converted ounce weight.

Roman Made Mother US Trout 0.75lbs 12oz

Roman Made Mother Perch(never hit water) 0.76lbs 12.16oz

Roman Made Mother Oikawamesu 0.77lbs 12.32oz

Roman Made Custom Nego US Trout 0.17lbs 2.72oz

Toxic Baits Wake Trout 0.43lbs 6.88oz

Toxic Baits XXH Rat 0.33lbs 5.28oz

Hinkle Glide 0.62lbs 9.92oz

3:16 Sport SS 0.43lbs 6.88oz(The OG 10" Floater I have was weighed at 8.16oz)

HPH Glide 0.24lbs 3.84oz

8.5" Hiroshima Glide 0.31lbs 4.96oz

Deps 250 0.41lbs 6.56oz(Both my super slow sink suspender Butch tuned Flash Trout and regular slow sink Natural Trout weighed the same, bet that's not the case with better scales ;) )

Morgan Glide Gills SS 0.30lbs 4.8oz Flt 0.29lbs 4.64oz

So theres my data, wish I had better scales  Can't believe the RM Mothers are about an ounce and a half over what their estimated weight is on tackle warehouse & RM site  Gonna get the dead twitches out tomorrow and see what their weight is just for ish and giggles :lol:

Just wanted to start this thread for people to share their data with what baits actually weigh on their scales compared to what the manufacturers say their baits weigh. Of course with a wood bait like a Mother, they are all not going to be exact, but I expected it to be closer to 10.5oz and not 12oz!!

That's amazing a wood bait weighs that much. Can't imagine how much it would weigh if it was resin. How's the action on that morgan custom glide? I'm really hoping he'll put them up for sale

Big discrepancies with the custom negotiators also. I have had four of them with way different sink rates. One of them damn near floats! You have to be Gandhi to fish it in any kind of depth. Watching the videos of how they are made surprises me with differences..too big too fast I guess.

 Weighing with hardware, nothing real scientific on my end, putting the baits on the same scales used to weigh fish with in our club tourneys :D

Evan ill take the hinkle glide :D:lol:

I would prolly part with a Mother for cheaper than my hinkle ;)

The Morgan Glide Gills are sweet baits. I haven't been putting enough time into mine but they definitely catch fish. I had a 5lber smack at it the first trip I took it out. Been talking to Stephen a lot about how to fish it and working on catching em with it :D

All of my negos that I've owned have been close to same sink rate...super slow. I'm not sure either? But I would think wood is probably the hardest material to work with to keep things like sink rate and action consistent.
