radicalrat
With Winter right around the corner, we all know those fish are gonna get real slow & lazy! I wanted to see what types of baits you guys find working during the cold season? Also, what techniques do you find to work better during this season? SethB
8" Huddleston, 6" Rago Soft Raptor, 6.5" Rising Son, 5" Mission Fish, 5" Big Hammer, 7" & 9" MS Slammer, 10" Triple Trout. Pretty much in that order. Depending where I'm at. I have a rod rigged with either 8" hudd or 10" TT. One with Soft Raptor or Rising Son One with 5" Mission Fish or 5" Big Hammer. And mix in the Slammer when it feels right. Wish I had a few weedless Hudds. for this winter . Zack Carscaddon and BrhodesBassin
colbypearson
8'' hudds in "REAL" winter - water under 40 degrees for me I usually got about 3 rods rigged up with hudds a rof 5 and two 12's in different patterns. I got some other tricks but the waters gotta be clear. Primus
Fishingallday31
Hudds of course, but I also love to throw a big topwater wake/deadstick bait in the shallows during those warmer, sunny days.
nightsessions
Gonna be dedicating myself to catching a double digit on a hudd. Also plan on throwing the 250 and big topwaters

urbanhick
Drill a hole in the ice and hang a big dead pond shiner for Northern Pike. Read all the big bass swimbait reports and wish it was open water time. Nolan Aker, Primus, dub4502 and 2 others
evilcatfish
Drill a hole in the ice and hang a big dead pond shiner for Northern Pike. Read all the big bass swimbait reports and wish it was open water time. This post made me laugh. While we don't usually get full ice over here in MO, its funny to hear what some of the warmer climate guys call "Winter"

Mikey99
Since HUDDs seem to be the main bait for winter, let's talk about how you guys fish them. Slow craw on the bottom with just top hook? Az_urban_swimbaiter
mcm83
i fish the same baits that i would during the warmer months - FreeStyle Baits, Rising Sons, Hudds, Roman Mades, etc.. once the end of feb rolls around, i go into hibernation mode.
