Hey everyone my names Marcus. Ive been fishing San Diego for the last 15 years mainly salt. But just got into swimbaits in November. I made it my New Years resolution to catch my first double digit this year. I've been browsing this board researching baits, gear, techniques and tryin to figure out what I needed to do to land that fish. I've been on the water almost every day from shore with no fish to show for it. Been throwing hudds, triple trouts the slammer, gancraft raft jointed craw 230 for three months now with no luck. Still hitting it every chance I could determined to catch my first swimbait fish. Finally happened yesterday on the gan craft 230. It took me a while to get there and still have years of learning to do. But it would've taken me a lot longer to get where I am if it wasn't for this board. So thanks. Lookin forward to being able to give some thing back to is forum with in time.

Oh and by the way sorry for the crappy pics. It was a solo mission and by the time I got her out of the net and unhooked I was tryin to get her back in the water.

Thanks everyone. It was three days ago and it still keeps running through my mind how it felt when I finally got her into my net. Nolan I've been at that lake everyday since you were down here. If it wasn't for good dudes I've met and chilled with like you and Jay. I don't know if I would've still had the drive to be out there chucking baits every single day. I was telling you I wasn't going to fish salt again until I got a swimbait fish. Now I can't even think about salt, I just want more big bass!! Gotta even things out now and finally get one on a hudd, triple trout or slammer! Thanks again everyone I have a good feeling 2014 is going to be epic.
