Sam_Glasgow_
Quick question. I can buy like 4 hudds for the price of a baitsmith. Is it worth the money? It's hard to justify spending that much when I can get something comparable, plus that much for a soft bait. Thanks for the time
JeremyW
yes it is , they both have there time and place but the one major factor with the magnum is when going over brush trees etc... it will stay upright and look natural and hud will fall over . Most people dont realize that hudds and not balanced (ever get one and think why does this one want to turn over at higher speeds?) Well considering I own probably the most hudds of anyone I know lol, everyone of them the lead on inside is slightly to one side , you can fix them and make them swim like a magum but thats a secret I keep to myself sorry. There are ways to make both baits last along time to justify spending the money on a magnum , like cutting open the baits and glue the lead harness firmly in place but this is a delicate process. I have one hud that is from day they came out still going yes looks like crap but Im a firm believer that beat up baits look more natural = getting bit more often. I get the ? everytime I throw a magnum Jeremy its a pc of 150$ plastic , my answer is always the same Yup you shouldn't buy them let me buy them all lol . The thing is I tend to scout the water before I even make a single cast , if everyone is throwing hudds and slide swimmers I know im gonna get bit on a magnum it have a very natural swim to it .
