They are definitely fun to catch! They might be a really big minnow with no teeth in their jaws but if you look in their throats they have a set of knife-like teeth that slice and dice the fish they eat. Way cool...just don't run your fingers down there!

Where'd you find that split-handle Champ? That's a real cool rod. I don't think I have any "squaw fish" around me. They look real neat, though.

I sanded down the foam on the champ and epoxied over the blank. It looks really good. Did that to all my dobyns sb rods.

I caught a monster one a few years back it had to be ten pounds i didnt think they get that big would have beat the state record but i didnt bother to look. See how much it was just killed and threw it back but i can live with that. Im after a new state record bass

Sacramento pike minnow. Same thing I believe
