Tuna Meltdown Posted November 3, 2015 Report Share Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) That's not a brown trout. Looks like a steelhead to me. Female steelhead will darken up depending on what time of year it is. The pictures make it look dark, you can't tell what colors it had. I had an old timer ID it for me when I caught it because I wasn't 100% sure what it was and he said it was a female brown. I can tell for sure that it was not a steelhead, but maybe a salmon?
