ZanethePain
Has any one tried out the new lucky craft real ayu glidebait? It looks pretty sick and at 20 dollars the price is pretty hard to beat, thanks in advance.
flaswimbaiter
I saw a short review from a guy on FB, he said I was a waste of money even at that price. There are better option at that price.
Ong Jim
^^Agree. One of my friends bought one and it doesn't swim nor glides well. It rolls on a medium retrieve and pulls straight in when retrieved slow. I thought the feathers might be causing the lack in action and advised him to cut it, it didn't help either. Save the money and get a S-Waver. ZanethePain
Magic Man CP
I have one, I really wanted to like it, but it just flat out sucks! Very disappointed because LC has a lot of baits I really like, and when I saw the Ayu, I trusted the same quality and action of their smaller baits I've come to count on. My advice, don't buy it,, save and get the Gancraft ZanethePain
Bassnet
First time posting here, I was looking to see what others thought of this bait after I tried it yesterday. I guess I'm not alone in my dislike for it. I too throw tons of LC, but this bait is a dud, at least the one I threw. I was throwing it on 17 lb. flouro, bait did not glide well at all and rolled when I tried a straight retrieve at a medium retrieve. I did like how it barely floated on the pause (flouro to braid), but that's not going to make me throw it. After tossing it around for 15 minutes, I cut it off and tied on the S Waver 200 and the contrast was amazing. I had to make a quick call to TW to cancel the order I made Friday night for a couple more of the Real Ayu. Bummer. But at least I got 20% off a couple more S Wavers instead. Damn, looked really good for 20$!
waynem
Lots of people making good looking glides; not many people making good looking glides that swim like they should. mcm83
Bsmatko63
Lots of comments here but I figured I'd kick a dead horse and add my 2 cents. It is not worth the price put on it, and as many have said it is pretty much just sloppily made and engineered. I can think of 3 baits off-hand that you are better off buying at that price point. A savage gear 3D Glide, in gizzard if you have gizzard shad or chartreuse shad if you have no roach/shad in your area. Maybe a Jackall Gantarel(40$) if bluegill are abundant where you fish, or a R2S S-waver. I am a big fan of Savage Gears 3D Gizzard shad glide, swims really well at a slow or fast retrieve and does well on a steady reel-and-stop cadence. Like I said just my 2 cents and it is not set in stone what anyone says!
