PNW bass Posted March 19, 2016 Report Share Posted March 19, 2016 I bought the black hitch after fondling and drooling all over it several trips in a row to my local shop. Eventually I felt guilty about it, so I took it home with me. Threw it a few times yesterday to see how it swam. Water is still really cold here, but gin clear, so it was easy to see it work. It has a nice glide, tied it direct and on a snap, direct seemed to have a more consistent glide. It has a sexy glide, at least a foot left to right, with a hard to describe kick when it turns either direction. It has a consistent, albeit momentary, sideways roll... Or flare almost, when it changes direction on a slow retrieve or fast retrieve. It was really cool to see that silver flash under the black back at the end of its turn, made it easy to spot too. It danced on rod twitches and jerks, and suspended flawlessly. Ran very true out of the box, I honestly have nothing bad to say about it... I will be getting another, likely the kokanee.
