Northeast Bassin
They work the same as any swimbait hook, but I would personally swap out the screw lock on there and get some Owner centering pins in Large for throwing a Weedless RS. csparrow12
JeremyW
the trokar 10/0 screw lock is actually much better then owners its much bigger it works great for most bigger plastic swimbaits, that being said i perfer the smaller screw lock for my rising sons because theres less plastic in the nose to pin . the major down fall with trokar hooks is when it comes to sharpening them forget about it this is where I really like my owners. Northeast Bassin
The only reason why I said go with the Owner CPS is that you have a center point of reference when screwing it into the plastic. I'm looking at my WRS with the Owner CPS and it's practically the same size as the WRS nose where you screw it in. All comes down to personal preference though. Magic Man CP
Ditch the screw eyes all together. Make your own straight wire pins that attach to the hook eye, secure with tiny amount of glue, and your life will now be easier. Also,, I highly recommend a little bit of weight on the hook shank, and keep it as close to the nose as possible, this will make that bait and others like it run nice and straight. jhoozie1, JeremyW and BiteTheBullet

That's a great idea man.. What are you using to make the straight screw eye? I'm guessing a paper clip or something like that?

Use the same hook just snip off the screw...it has a centering pin already... BiteTheBullet and kayl

I'm actually using piano wire, won't rust, very resilient, , a paper clip will work, but will rust up on you in a hurry. Shoot me a pm, I'll hook you up with some!
