I went through all 18 pages and found two trout that were mentioned, both happen to be from the north east. One on a mission fish, another on a home made triple trout style bait. My best trout that I intentionally targeted on a swimbait was this laker that snarfed an ROF12 Hudd in 35-40'. Lake_Raider Posted July 5, 2016 Report Share Posted July 5, 2016 Never tried SB's in rivers but they work in lakes and reservoirs with large trout, e.g. lake trout, browns, cutthroats, etc. that feed on minnows, planter rainbows, kokanee. About the only time they don't like swim baits is around the spawn when they go off the feed and usually hit smaller stuff out of aggression.
