I love mine. I have a slow sink in kill shot. I run a Owner snap w/ a spro 120# swivel on it. 30# Izorline XXX, Dobyn 908 throws it like a champ. like across an entire point kind of distance lol. I do like a quicker retrieve reel like the BIG sHOOTER hs. It doesnt helicopter much but its a 7 oz bait so I dont play with line twists. It stays in the 2-4' range on a really slow retrieve with pauses. it glides about 2' side to side and its very natural. I personally think its the best big gill glide bait made. I got mine a little late in the year, last year but I managed a few nice fish before the temps dumped and this spring we had garbage clarity but im looking forward to fishing it hard this summer.

It's a big bait. If the fish comes up to the surface after you hook it, I put the rod tip down and grind it in as hard as i can. Most of the fish I lose on the big hard baits are from reeling just drag for a second or two after setting the hook

What zan is saying is he loses fish when he is reeling "just drag" and in not pulling in line. He is losing fish becuase he lost constant pressure on them. Set the hook, if the fish comes to the surface try and keep your rod down to mitigate jumps and just grind it in without stopping.

Precisely. If the drag is too loose and you continue to turn the reel handle anyways, all you are doing it spinning the handle against the drag and the spool itself doesn't turn. I've been steadily moving towards having my drag locked all the way down to keep this from happening, for sometimes that's all the slack a fish needs to headshake its way off the hooks.

Also, I'm sure its just due to how the fish are biting the bait, but I tend to lose fish in bunches. I'll catch 3 fish in a row that eat, only to dump like the next 8 in a row with seemingly nothing else having changed
