BrhodesBassin
The goal is for a gliding soft plastic. At the moment in not sure if I should try and make an internal harness or keep it weedless. Looking for suggestions on improvement, maybe wasting my time? Just looking for feedback before I end up balls deep in a horrible idea porkmeatballs
porkmeatballs
Looks like a very interesting concept! How would you rig one of those?
BrhodesBassin
I haven't got that far yet lol kinda why I posted it. I prefer everything weedless and a 12/0 beast looks right but then rhe entire back half is open to missed bites. But I'm scared if I try to make an internal harness it will rip the plastic to pieces too fast. Looking for suggestions from more experienced bait makers porkmeatballs
brushhawg1
Hey, looks like a good concept. I wonder if a slightly flatter and wider tail would add to the "glide"? Good luck with it.
Campobassmaster
I'd say do a line thru deal kind og like the mission fish (if not patented?) or maybe how the baitsmith magnum or rago harnesses work where theres the line tie then other line ties for rigging. I'd say go with a harness though.
Mountainryan
Damn that mold is gonna be huge. Are you thinking open pour? Not that it should stop you but that much silicone is going to be costly. Those kind of things often keep me from experimenting. I'm not sure what you meant by glide, like on the fall? Keep thinking! Maybe just a wired stinger for the back. BrhodesBassin
Ya I'm looking at an open poor mold and around 160 in silicone for it. And I want to be able to swim it off the bottom and glide/swim side to side
Garrett
Looks great! I'm working on something like this I'll let you know how it goes
BrhodesBassin
Nice! Mine has changed shape twice now and is looking like it is going to again. I plan on posting progress again once I know where in gonna go with it. Let us know how yours comes along man Garrett
Craig
Looks cool. It should have a great action but with those arms I doubt it will actually glide. I'd go weedlesa and just tie a 2nd (& even 3rd) hook to the shank of the first one with some braid while you experiment. If you are going to open pour then use Plaster of Paris for the mould. Will save you heaps of $ and do just as good a job.
Garrett
Did the first pour and swimtest it needs a bunch of tweaks and looks like a glob of weeds out of the water but in the water it looks fantastic. I need to figure out a system to rig it because a 7/0 gamakatsu barely reaches the neck. Salty_Cak

Garrett
Nice! How did you dry out the POP? Mine nearly exploded when I poured into one hahah I just let it dry for a day and in the sun for few hours then it was good
BrhodesBassin
Nice! How big is it to the tip of the tail? And I recently found out the trokar has some odd ball sized hooks you might look into those
