Accidental knockoff

I didn't realize how much this resembled a shellback custom until after I poured the 1st one. Still pretty happy with how it came out just a little disappointed at how similar it is

And just ignore the sloppy pour job. I swear I normally have a much cleaner line in my laminates😂

I am coming to the same sort of reckoning myself with a homemade shad bait I made. No matter what I do, I can't seem to make a hard shad bait that doesn't look somewhat like either a Bullshad or a BD. Oh,well, I'm happy with them so that is all that matters. Good job on your mold.

Took it out for a test swim trip yesterday and it will swim weightless with a nice side to side wobble at a medium to slow retrieve but it swims with the nose pointing up slightly. If I can find a way to work that out It will make a nice smaller sized swimmy. Thanks for all the encouragement and support on here you guys are probably my main source of info besides tackleunderground

I personally don't think it's too close to a Shellback. It's really tough, how many shapes of baitfish are there lol. I think it looks great

I had the thought and a few people told me the same, maybe it's all in my head. Thanks for the compliment
