BrhodesBassin
I didn't realize how much this resembled a shellback custom until after I poured the 1st one. Still pretty happy with how it came out just a little disappointed at how similar it is And just ignore the sloppy pour job. I swear I normally have a much cleaner line in my laminates😂 Edited May 19, 2017 by BrhodesBassin lendaCew, bassing305, GoblinSlayer and 1 other

floridaswimb8er
I am coming to the same sort of reckoning myself with a homemade shad bait I made. No matter what I do, I can't seem to make a hard shad bait that doesn't look somewhat like either a Bullshad or a BD. Oh,well, I'm happy with them so that is all that matters. Good job on your mold. BrhodesBassin
Took it out for a test swim trip yesterday and it will swim weightless with a nice side to side wobble at a medium to slow retrieve but it swims with the nose pointing up slightly. If I can find a way to work that out It will make a nice smaller sized swimmy. Thanks for all the encouragement and support on here you guys are probably my main source of info besides tackleunderground Edited May 21, 2017 by BrhodesBassin
BigSlant
It's not that similar other than the general shape..looks good BrhodesBassin

porkmeatballs
That's a pretty cool looking bait! I like the green stripe
BrhodesBassin
That greens an optical illusion lol I added a little yellow to chartreuse hoping to make it a little brighter. Without the black around it it comes out like a ugly pale orange. porkmeatballs
Willluvstafish
I personally don't think it's too close to a Shellback. It's really tough, how many shapes of baitfish are there lol. I think it looks great
