Salty_Cak
Ok guys ive been working with a graphic designer to make a new soft plastic bait, and despite seeing everyone and their sister coming out with their own version of a gizzard, Im finally ready to start 3d printing some masters. Let me know what you guys think, its 8inches long and will have the option to be rigged with a 12/0 beast or line through. Still a long way to go but the plan for this bait is to make it available to SU members only.... also will be looking to find someone to paint a few. Give me your criticism! This bait is for you guys! surfk9, fishnchips35, chevro1et and 8 others

Mountainryan
Have you printed before? They can come out rough. Smooth-on makes a product you can brush on to create a smooth surface for your mold. BigBaitThirty and Salty_Cak

Mountainryan
I would widen the sanction of the tail that sticks out horizontally. Worried it won't catch and kick Salty_Cak and jakehrabik
dominator
Seems kind of stubby. (And maybe you want it to be that way.) But with the body thickness the same pretty much the whole way it is going to take a lot of effort to get that tail moving. AKA you're going to have to reel it fast unless you make it out of some PRETTTY soft plastic. Take a look at an 8" Hud. The body is thick, but right before the tail it gets VERY thin so the body doesn't effect the tail movement. Looks damn good though. And I like the line through / weedless idea. porkmeatballs and Salty_Cak
Salty_Cak
I think i am thinning the base of the tail(where it meets the body) and making the end wider for more kick. thanks guys!
Salty_Cak
this is a top view of it currently, will be posting the new changes soon
porkmeatballs
That tail is gonna displace a lot of water! I like it! Maybe start tapering down the body closer to the middle of the bait. It looks like the taper is very abrupt. Salty_Cak
lux036
I like it, but if you could make a 6" version too. That would be even better. Salty_Cak
