timcauliffe Posted June 14, 2017 Report Share Posted June 14, 2017 This past Sunday, I had a few hours to get out on shore after the little guy went to bed. We were in a heatwave, so I had a good feeling. I mainly threw the 9" Slammer and BDB Shellcracker G2. Started the night at a nearby river. Fished a spot that the river flowed under a bridge, but created a small pool/pond area off to the side. Started with a 2.64 on the Shellcracker cranking it down in some shallow weeds. Moved down the small bank and then had the biggest of the night swipe at the Slammer right at my feet - she went 4.4. Walked down the river bank more and got another dink on the BDB. It started getting dark, so I drove down 3 minutes to a nearby lake and fished the bank. Got 3 more dinks on the BDB before I had to call it a night.
