swole_t
Ive been doing really well on the deps 250 lately and now I caught this beast. I started fishing at 5 30 am while it was still dark. I've been doing well in the morning with my cl8bait possum. So I fished that this morning for a few hours, surprising to me I didn't get a bite on it. So about 8am I switched over to my deps 250. And drove over to a beach, fished the bouy line. Nothing there. Then started moving out to open water. They have a large submerged grass bed that extends about 150 yards out into the lake with the deep edge being about 30 feet deep. I started to work my way down this weed edge and my deps 250 got stopped. Set the hook, and this fish pulled hard, one of the few bass I've caught that actually pulled some line off the reel. Fight didn't last very long though and I netted it. Fish was 25" and 8lbs 4oz, I was super excited but the story didn't end well. The fish was hooked through the gill and bleeding. Unfortantly it did not survive. It pissed me off, not the first fish I've killed with the deps 250. That bait straight kills em, literally. 😡 YELOSUB, Lurejerk, sandro r+ and 22 others
