egoodnow
Wanted to leave my comments here on this battery as I got it out for the first time today. I was super impressed with this thing, it's an absolute tank. I was about for about 6-7 hrs and never had to shut my GoPro (Hero 5 Black) off or stop recording, never switched batteries just left this thing plugged in and it powered it all day. As of right now you do have to get a little creative in finding a place for it, luckily I have a strap near my GoPro mount and was able attach it there with the included "action mount" and it worked well. I was also told by customer support at GoPuck that the new "Pro Mount Kit" should be out in the coming weeks which will let you mount it directly under your GoPro to make it all one clean unit, I will be snagging one as soon as it is released. These things normally retail for 100 bucks and while I found one for 60 I would've easily paid 100 for it. They also have 2 smaller versions that are cheaper but I would imagine still give a huge boost to battery life. Mountainryan
Good to know! The hero 5 battery suuucks. I have two batteries and maybe get halfway through a normal session. Do you have to leave the battery door off while it's in the housing to charge? Zigtherat
Zigtherat
Nice to know its worth the cash. Like Ryan mentioned i'm curious about having to leave the door off while charging. I assume there's no other way around that.
timcauliffe
If you have a boat and run 12V batteries for your trolling motors, etc. - buy a cheap 12V powered USB port. I can run my GoPros for almost 2 full days.
