Daytime Topwaters

Been throwing the topwater a lot as the sun is coming up but my instinct is to always switch to subsurface as the sun comes up.  What do y'all do to keep getting bit on top during the middle of the day? Colors? Locations?

I'm guilty of throwing topwater all day, everyday. Just gotta stick with it. Biggest bites come between 10-2 in my experience. Shade lines, laydowns, weed edges, exposed rocks. Anywhere you'd throw any other topwater. Just like anything throw it enough an it'll get bit.

Daytime is awesome for a slammer. Clear water is best. I'll toss a slammer from 6" to 20' fow. Throw it wherever the fish are. If they're in the wood and brush, toss it there. If they're on drop offs from 5'-10', toss it there. If it's post front or windy, crank it down and burn it. There isn't a bad day to toss a slammer. Even hot as balls and flat calm is good

Although I have more success at night, I'll throw the Wake Jr during the day as well with success. Try to wake it over submerged weeds or grass and of course around structire. Just like mossy and frogman said, throw it where the fish are and it'll get bit.

I also love the 3:16 Minnow during the day... not always the biggest bass but they eat that thing crazy.
