bigpoppabass
Phew, I had a stash of extra wings to maybe restore a 200 fish+ crawler. If you want to read the whole tribute it is below. I just became sentimental when wing fell off after alot of fish. I once retired bait but brought it back. My all time fav bait has been a polywood (not their later wood models) musky creepy crawler made by hi fin tackle. His baits are one of few the Japanese have repainted in cool patterns check google images. Lloyd is retired and I understand disabled. As is often the case with artisan baits you need to buy many to find that special one. The wings have always been the engineering dilemma for this style of bait, sometimes too fast, or not a good pairing etc. So I never recycle wings on baits that I can't retune. My all time fav I call the voodoo bait. I asked Lloyd for a bright white orange lower lip to reflect a bps buzzbait I had used since I was a kid. It came back that way but Lloyd put black eyes on it making it look like a shamen man to me hence my nickname for it. I retired the bait a couple of years ago since it lost its bright whiteness. Then I got bored over a winter and experimented with glitter spray paint on polywood (doesn't like most paints) and an idea to spray paint the wings gold instead of silver. My idea was money. As if often the case, color doesn't matter joke on me. This bait walked but also somehow spit water too unlike others I have. The silver wing looks nice against the gold blade I repainted so I am hoping I am back to work with it. P.S. smartphone cameras don't show glitter well. What you see is black is a combo glitter.
