FishDr
Every single slammer is different. EVERY SINGLE ONE! I have 43 I think and use all of them. So true - I don't have 43 (yet) but I've got double digits and they all catch fish.
Dirtroadhound
I agree with some people. Swap hooks. I go owner st41 in 1/0. And no, you don't have other baits before you need more slammers. Best bait ever made, imo. Every single slammer is different. EVERY SINGLE ONE! I have 43 I think and use all of them. Ok, I might need multiple slammers in the future but I need at least one bass on a slammer before I commit to 43 slammers. Dirtroadhound
One more question about the Slammer. How do you handle a blow-up miss on the Slammer? Should I keep working it, should I let it sit for a few, should I work it faster and is it the same for a miss whether it is day time or night time. Thanks, heading back out this weekend at 4 a.m. for some more Slammer bonding time.
bigpoppabass
A blow up miss is usually a smaller fish. The slurpers are usually the big mamas. Slammers hook well so if you are missing em often something is up with rig or technique imo. Mossypumpkin
Agreed. Usually small fish but if I do miss one I usually start twitching as fast as I can
