ncstatefisher
With everybody losing their minds all I can question is how are the fish going to react? With just under 4 hours or so until we get the darkness here on the east coast just curious if anybody else is gonna be out trying to see what happens on the water and if so what you'll be throwing. dmayer88
Not sure if the short period of darkness itself will do anything. But the whole, Earth/moon/sun lined up might trigger something. I'm working, would be curious to hear what peoples experience is.
basssavage24/7
I got a buddy who's going I'm curious to what's going to happen. Its me and my wifes's only day off together. Won't be trying my luck, can't catch em from the couch tho.
Seahaecker
Curious to know as well I'll be out later around 130 not sure if it will have any effects around that time
bigpoppabass
Feeding frenzy imo.
Nolan Aker
Whatever happened here in MN didn't appear to be substantial enough to have any effect, but its a nice cloudy day to be on the water.
Garrett
I went out today for 4 hours during the eclipse, had a bunch of little fallowers, caught two little guys (2.5-3lbs) and missed a 5-6lb fish. Pretty good for me! porkmeatballs, Nick S., HuddMan101 and 2 others
timcauliffe
It had the same effect on me - the couch and TV all looked the same
jthod
I took off work at noon, had afternoon obligations with the wife, so I had a bit of time. Took the cameras and a rod down to the city lake to see what I could drum up. We are in the path of totality, so it got VERY dark. Looked like a sunset in all directions.Fishing was less than stellar, but did catch a couple dinks on conventional tackle.Short video I put together. ncstatefisher
Glad somebody hooked up @Garrett!! I had one 4lb or so follower within 5 minutes of the "prime time" for my area but outside of that there either wasn't much effect or the fish were on the other side of the lake, no unnatural surface activity mid day or anything fun like that. Did catch one small fish on a fluke but nothing to get too excited about Garrett
Garrett
Thanks! Other than the actual eclipse the lake was unusually calm for that time of the day
Tjones
I'm newer to throwing big swimbaits again, but I had one around 5lber on a deps 250, and a bunch of followers off of shade lines.
