Dirtroadhound
Looking for advice: what do you take swimbaiting with other the the obvious? Rod, reel, lures. What do you always take or wish you had in your boat, pack, or tackle box? Just wondering, building my gear.
azfisher
PMA- positive mental attitude and the ability to accept the fact your going to lose some $$$ baits. As far as equipment I always bring extra spools of line to re-spool when the need arises. Dirtroadhound
Re-spool because of backlashes or what?
basssavage24/7
Charge phone for pics and scale, it would kill me to catch my first dd and not know if I caught a dd. Extra spool is a great idea. I only have one set up and always tell myself your one backlash from going home.
basssavage24/7
Not backlashes all the time if my line is even slightly damaged I cut it and retie it hurts to cast off baits or stick a pig and lose a bait and the fish. That's why I switch to big game because I go Thur line like a mad man. If you get lazy it can really cost you.

Garrett
I always take my leatherman wave with me I can cut braid and mono with the scissors, remove hooks with the pliers, sharpen hooks with the file, take my reels apart with the screw drivers, and the bottle opener for obvious reasons. David R
I always try to have cutters in my bag that would be able to cut a thick hook. I got a swimbait stuck once under a buoy on the rope. It was stuck good. I had to cut the treble hook off to get my bait. It would be good also if you need to cut a hook to get it off the fish or if you hook yourself BOZ, SEMassBass and nwkurt
lux036
Phone - for pics (proof of a giant) and safety, because you could get attack by a bear/mountain lion and need help. Knife/handgun - safety and protection against animals or crazy people, use to cut line etc. Scale - weighing you bass to show off to your friends. Sun screen - protect yourself against cancer. Sun glasses - protect your eyes, plus you can see through water. KyleAvilla, gcopple, LUV-2-CATCH'EM and 1 other
