CA Delta Stripers Sept. 2017

We been getting some good ones the last couple weeks on the Derty D. All fish coming on top water. Delta Wood Bombers and IMA Bigstick been doing most of the damage. Pretty stoked it's only Sept. and we are already seeing some quality fish in the system.

Thats rad!, excuse the ignorance but do these migrate in from at sea like they do out here on the east coast?

Yes, for the most part they are migratory stripers. They come in from the SF bay to the Delta twice a year. Once in the Spring to spawn and again in the fall when they food gets scarce in the bay.

 

We do have a small population that are year round residents, but they tend to be leaner...
