tyflemingo
Would yall rather through a hudd on a 867 or a 250 on a 807? Looking for versatility as well if I can get away with it. I've heard the 867 has quite a bit of bend for a hudd rod.

charlie.m.jr
I throw Hudds on an 806 or a 796 Dobyns. Most people here may think I'm silly for throwing them on a rod most would consider to use solely on trebled baits, but I like a rod with a lot of give in the tip that still has plenty of backbone. For me personally I don't lose near as many fish with a rod that is parabolic or has lots of tip as I do with a broomstick style that most people use for jig hook baits. I use the same principle applied to lures other than swimbaits as well. I fish football jigs and big worms offshore on a long parabolic rod as well. For me it's a confidence thing knowing that I do have a rod with the backbone I need, but also one that has enough play in it to stay loaded if a fish jumps or some give if a fish surges near the boat. dheath2 and KeepinItReelFishing
