Mountainryan
Hey SU, it's been a struggle for big fish this year, I've had a handful if 5s, my spring pb of five-high and a ton of 4s. I keep trying new spots, checking where other people write off as having no fish. That grind finally paid off. I stopped at a high pressure city pond with ultra clear water and no vegetation or cover before work. Spent 15 minutes picking a point apart from the shore out. Didn't get a bite so I casted from the tip of the point back paralel
Mountainryan
To the shoreline with my 9" x2 cranking slammer. Got about 10 ft into the retrieve and a small sluurp. Set the good and it was like I hit a stump, thought it was larger but when I flipped her up onto shore I was blown away. Blew out my last pb by pounds. She went 7.1. I was shaking all the way into work. She was released safe and sound to be the top dog in that pond. Caught another tiny one and don't even remember it haha sorrry about the split post I could figure out how to edit and accidentally posted the first half Lurejerk, VanBass1707, SEMassBass and 18 others

massbass10
That fish is a tank way to go, where did the tail on slammer go. Were you fishing it tail less or did it fall off?
Mountainryan
The tail is there but I got the bait hung up in the water a while back, swam for it the next day but the tail got cloudy from the water. Fish didn't mind! They never care about the paint on slammaaas! ACE of Bass
