californiacatcher
Hey all! So a friend of mine will be going to Japan in a couple weeks and is willing to pick up some baits for me! The only problem is, it will be his first time and really has no idea where to look! Any advice on some shop locations, and Yen prices? I believe he will be going to Tokyo and Kyoto for sure. Thanks guys!
biggfeast
No clue for Kyoto, but I have made some rounds at Tokyo Tackle shops and know of some good places to get swimbaits. http://swimbaitunderground.com/forums/index.php?/topic/27445-visit-to-japan/?hl=sansui Here’s a thread I did on my last trip Have him check out these stores in shibuya: SanSui Joshuya Casting (ã‚ャスティング) Those should all have a good selection of Baits. californiacatcher and Rodrgsv
californiacatcher
Thanks brian! did they have drt stuff? and also do you know what the yen price was for baits? trying to figure out how much things are over there.
biggfeast
SanSui had a lot of DRT stuff, but I am sure by now the other stores are carrying their stuff too. Also, any Japanese manufactured baits will be quite cheaper there compared to USA prices. For example, the new style Deps 250s were ¥8000 (about $71.00 USD)
