pzoutdoors Posted October 18, 2017 Report Share Posted October 18, 2017 After several conversations with Jason via instagram in February of 2017 I sent my badlands edition phoney frog in to have "restored" back to new condition (I bought it with approx 10 casts on it). We had several friendly communications via instagram/email through early July apologizing for the delays in touching up the bait. What was supposed to take about a month long turn-around became 2-3-4 and now here we are 8 months in and I still don't have my bait back. I haven't received a reply to any form of communication since July 10th in which he explained that he was going through a very rough situation which affected his housing and apologized for the delay. I was told it would be painted within a week in that email. On 9/28 after a 7 month wait, I decided to abandon the idea of a bait restoration and requested that he simply send the bait back to me. I've reached out several times since then and have not gotten a hold of him. Has anybody heard from Jason or does anybody have an update on the status of his business? He seems like a great guy, but I never even got to make a cast with the damn thing and I'm frustrated that I can't get it back. charlie.m.jr Posted October 18, 2017 Report Share Posted October 18, 2017 I feel your pain. I've been on the waiting list since February as well and sporadically emailed Jason with no response. I found out that there was an email mishap and then he had some personal things going on as well. I reached out to Tommy " Gina's Man " and he promptly emailed me back and has kept me in the loop anytime I've emailed him. I believe they are working on the shop and are fixing to get back into production. I could certainly see a major delay in the production of new baits, but I just need him to put my existing bait in the mail. I'll contact Tommy and see if I can resolve this issue through him. Mountainryan Posted October 18, 2017 Report Share Posted October 18, 2017 He probably hasn't painted it becuase apparently you can't just paint where you make your soft baits. I don't get it but oh well. They literally built a small shed/ building to paint in and last check it was almost done. We are currently working on a workshop for Jason to paint and finish in. Just finished the roof and we are getting ready for electrical, insulation and sheetrock. Once we finish (which won't be long), Jason will be able to start finishing them again. I an sorry it is taking so long. Still no resolution to this....lots of additional promises and new deadlines set (and since broken). They (Jason & Tommy) are always polite through email/IG but I'm getting really sick of being lied to OVER AND OVER again. Tommy.....Jason.....send me my damn bait back!
