Low&Slow
Do any of you guys think it's almost harder to get bit when the lakes actually stock trout vs the time of year when they don't?? I'm starting to think the abundance of food in the water kills the bite danthefisherman
Tony91723
Do any of you guys think it's almost harder to get bit when the lakes actually stock trout vs the time of year when they don't?? I'm starting to think the abundance of food in the water kills the bite From what I seen today I'll agree with your statement, I feel as if though the trout wake the bass up along with the stripers into a feeding frenzy. The issue though, is the bass/stripers really have to be fooled into biting and it's due to the abundance of trout and schools of shad (that happened to be pushed up onto the shoreline). I had so many bass come out from behind trees and rocks today only to charge my deps 250 and then at the last second turn away. I was lucky enough to hook up into a huge striper, unfortunately I fought it for a bit and then lost it once it when it shook the bait off. The size of the belly and flash of the fish puts my conservative guess to a 10+ lber.
