thedoloninja
I'm decently new to swimbait fishing and usually throw huds, tiny klash's, and deps. I was wondering what rat you guys think is the best Quint, thedoloninja and Sb slayer

Lakeshark
They all get bit. Make your own. That’s what I did. danthefisherman and Amistoad
northeast_trev
Start with a bbz thing gets killed and there affordable +1 on the BBZ in the 50 size. Thing is basically indestructible. Good bait to learn how to swimbait fish with... cast, retrieve control, etc. Also, gets smoked. I've had a lot of cool expensive rats, but the BBZ gets a lot more bites for me BASS_SWINGER, Rock chuck and Harshwaters

My BBZ Rat got munched this year and gave me a lot of confidence when I was just getting started in the big bait game.
Angryjohn
Some cheaper baits are just that good. I feel the swaiver is in this category and will use them when i am bound to shore. Not going to risk an HPH or hinkle getting caught up when i am shore bound... ShartyMcBasshole and drewmoniz
bassfiend72
I have really been stoked on fishing the BBZ 50 also. I have had some hook up issues during the times I have been throwing the BBZ. Every Rat I have thrown has the same issues. Just seems it has been more while fishing the 50. I did add a split ring to the back hanger which seemed to help. I have been fishing a El Raton Rat and Johnny Rat. The Johnny Rat has a ton of action. Look forward to try and use it a lot this upcoming year. Anybody have any thoughts on fishing the Kincannon G-Rat. I really like the idea of that style of rat in certain situations. jswfish
I think I am the only person who hasn't been successful with bbz 50. I have tried a dozen or so rats with my biggest fish burning a moreau rat across a spillway. The rat that gets bit best for me is Johnny rat it is expensive but well worth the price. I very rarely fish without it tied on. gcopple
