basskid95
Hey SU,I had a few questions regarding hardware on the Gan Craft 230. From my understanding, the front hook is a 1/0 and the back is a size 1. Would there be any ill effects if I were to run both 1/0 on the front and back? Will heavier gauge hooks cause the glide performance to diminish? Also, what size split rings/snaps would you guys recommend for this glide? Thanks! Top Ramen
Just swap out the hardware and see how it swims. Only way to be sure. danthefisherman, Jpratt, Lucid_Dreams23 and 1 other
Lucid_Dreams23
Yes, if you put a 1/0 on the back it does affect the glide a bit. Same if you were to put too heavy of hooks like a 3X. I just spent some time swapping out hardware on a 230 and got mine dialed in with Decoy Quads 1/0 front, size 1 back with size 7 owner hyper wire split rings. You don't really need a 1/0 on the back, I hooked this fish with only the back hook (size 1 decoy) drewmoniz, bassfiend72 and Top Ramen
