Csweitzer
When I fish smaller ponds, I usually will fish my 168 like a spook, walking the dog under water with half turns of the reel. There are two schools of thought on reel speed and glides, but in my opinion the faster the reel the more control you have over the glide. If you're fishing a pressured pond, you may want to go to a bigger or smaller bait, I've caught fish on the Deps 250 in ponds that I can cast across. Angryjohn
I fish a lot of small ponds and just had my best day ever on a 168. They seemed to enjoy a slow steady retrieve in my area right now. Tactical bassen has some great instructional video's on fishing just the swaivers you may want to check out. I have watched them several times and trying to copy what has worked for them...

drewmoniz
Top Ramen beat me to it. Don't be afraid to experiment until you figure out how the fish want it. Slow steady retrieve, twitching, mix in random speed ups and stops, etc
