hls804
I'm looking for a rod to throw treble hooks baits on such as the gantarel, jointed claw, s-waver, deps ss, rats and other baits in that size range. I have a budget of $200 and was looking at the I-rod Large Swimbait rod but I'm not sure if it is any good. I'm not looking for a rod to throw massive baits on. Any Suggestions? drewmoniz
Dobyns 806. Get the Champion if you don't mind going a little over your budget. Otherwise get the Fury. MA Frog Man
bigpoppabass
Glides and rats don't sound like a one rod deal to me. For glides a mod action rod is key. I go lighter than most and use a rod rated for 1oz. I also use gantarel and 185 range baits. I tend to pitch my glides and fish em like jerkbaits that make rod load up on the hit....I use a braid rig for rats and go a little heavier since I like to keep the retrieve very loose and less controlled by using a slack line.
