Angryjohn
I use a lot of owner st-41's and they are a 2x. Nasty sharp and not supper expensive IMO. BASS_SWINGER
Moleman
I only use one treble hook for swimmers, an Owner St-36 chevro1et, luckycraft and BASS_SWINGER
Angryjohn
If I could I would invite you to go to the owner website and look at the range of hooks. My choice comes from experience in topwater baits that I got so fustratated in always loosing fish. I could get them to bite even take in the entire lure and still get off. The ewg style wit the slight pointed in tips worked really well for me. The st-36 is a round bend also a great hook. In larger baits where it is unlikely that the entire bait is eaten it may be the best choice for hookups. With largr baits I don't intend to play the fish due to all the leverage the fish has to throw the hook. A 2x gets the job done for me so far but I have yet to battle a double digit fish. There are wrong choices but also lots of good ones.

I wish they made a 2x treble with the needle points.
Good Year 71
If possible, Owner is the only brand I throw and routinely swap out of my pathetic OCD confidence habit. I've swapped several hundred st36/st41 and there is absolutely nothing wrong with cutting points. The key here is that st36/st41 are direct replacements for one other. All things equal, you will NOT get the same hookset with 41 as you do 36 if for no reason other than increased wire diameter. As such, on 41's they utilize cutting points better able to 'stick' fish instead. I'll agree cutting points don't 'sink' as well, usually, but I'm highly confident they do indeed 'stick' better. I've carried near identical baits armed with each and have experienced this phenomenon side by side. It's real. There is a ever so slight weight difference between them as 41's are more stout, of course, but beyond that chose your poison. Personally, after giving them a fair shake I tend to prefer the 41 cutting point more often than not. I can see and understand if others wouldn't agree with this assessment, but I'd bet I use 41's over 36's by a ratio of about 4 to 1 or thereabout. I've got several packs of 36 ready to grab, but I've got a whole box full of 41. They're great. BASS_SWINGER and danthefisherman
