New Deps 175 With Bent Tail -- Boil or Return the Bait?

I just got a Deps 175 from Japan (Ebay) and was pretty disappointed to see that it had a bent and deformed tail. That was not described in the item's condition at all.

Would you repair it, if that's possible, or just return it?

I'd try the hair dryer approach and see if that solves the problem, I have also questioned this cus I've seen some 175 from eBay that have some slightly bent tails but never had the guts to pull the trigger and purchase. If the the hair dryer doesn't fix it immediately also try heating it up and then sandwiching the tail between 2 heavy books and letting sit for a day or two and see if that straightens it out

Thanks, appreciate the suggestions.

What worked for you? I noticed this morning that a 175 I just got has a bent dorsal fin. Got it sandwiched between two books and I'll check on it later today to see if that helped at all.

That did the trick. The bait hung down the opposite way of the bend fwiw, engineering books are thick.
