5-20
I just got a Deps 175 from Japan (Ebay) and was pretty disappointed to see that it had a bent and deformed tail. That was not described in the item's condition at all. Would you repair it, if that's possible, or just return it?
Tony91723
Leave it out in the sun for a few hrs and check on the bait. I had to do that to a few baits that had this same issue from not being stored properly.
Angryjohn
You could also "borrow" your girls or moms hair drier and see if that helps. Should leave no marks so if it does not work you can still return.

MattC94
I'd try the hair dryer approach and see if that solves the problem, I have also questioned this cus I've seen some 175 from eBay that have some slightly bent tails but never had the guts to pull the trigger and purchase. If the the hair dryer doesn't fix it immediately also try heating it up and then sandwiching the tail between 2 heavy books and letting sit for a day or two and see if that straightens it out cchoww
mike son
Thanks, appreciate the suggestions. What worked for you? I noticed this morning that a 175 I just got has a bent dorsal fin. Got it sandwiched between two books and I'll check on it later today to see if that helped at all.

The bait hung down the opposite way of the bend fwiw, engineering books are thick.
