wnighswonger
I just received 2 8 inch lunker punkers. 1 is wooden and one is plastic. They bot have the same pattern or at least similar... trout. I have not fished them yet... i will update this post when i do. I do like there swimming motion (i fished them in my pool) and the colors are really cool. The wooden one is a little heavy for my rod, but it can still handle it, and the plastic is just right. I really think i will catch my first swimbait fish on them. I will post pics maybe even a vid of when i fish it Craig

bassbass
I love this bait and have been getting some nice fish on them. You may have "Premature Hook-ulation" try to wait a second or two before setting the hook. Bigorhome
Definitely slower is better. I have trouble with line tangling around front hook. I removed it but not sure it's worth not having it. Any thoughts?
Spectrum
I throw them on 80lb braid but I tie on 6-12" of 25lb or 30lb mono. I try to keep the leader pretty short because I really hate casting the knot through the guides. And you don't need much to really help keep the line away from the hooks. You can hang a smaller hook off the front which might help. Also, if you're putting a split ring on the line tie or using a snap, try it without. Because the bait glides so much, it just runs right over your line if you don't keep up with the slack. Usually when you get tangled the most is when pausing after walking the bait a bit. You have to remember to reel up the slack even when you're going to let the bait sit for a minute. Hughie

flaswimbaiter
My most productive big bait......ever. They are two completely different baits, they walk differently and one has rattles. I use silent punkers for shallow water or calm days and the rattling baits for deeper water and windy days. Not to say thats the diehard rule, but what has worked for me over time. You have to practice and learn how to work each one at different speeds, some times they want a slow wide retrieve other times the quick slap slap slap retrieve. BiggieSmall
One of my favorite bait to fish. Got my 1st one years ago, a 6" wood in trout. First trip 7 lbs. , 2nd trip 8 lbs. and 3rd trip 6 lbs...amazing bait! Now I preferred the the 8" wooden one over the 6". It glides a little bit better in my opinion. I use the wooden one in shallow, calm, clear water. And the injected at night, windy or rough water. Let the fish dictate your cadence. Sometimes they want it fast and other times they want it slow. Good luck!

Dave, They made some of the G2's withone rattles (G2 silent), but most of them have the rattles
