I had to boil the rubber tail on the 9 inch glide I received, and truthfully it still doesn't swim perfectly. The tail honestly looks like crap. One side is like a marble purple and the other is a flat green with stripes in the mold. Very strange. I facebooked him asking if I could purchase one of the clear, dotted tails I see on the natural rainbow glide on his FB but he still hasnt gotten back with me. He builds the tails out of that rubber to help prevent tail breakage issues that glide baits are known for. its a one sided mold thats why the lines are on one side. the fish dont care. I e-mailed him like 2 weeks ago and still have yet to hear back from him. I wanted to order acouple more baits too. Last time he was very fast to respond. This week after talking with a buddy of mine. he told me he has been trying to get in touch with him also. He e-mailed him and called him as his bait broke and never got any kind of reply back.
