TheGoodCat
I'm heading to the Dallas on a business trip for two weeks and I plan on bringing my swimbait gear with me. It will be my first time in texas, from a fishing standpoint I'm excited to see what I can hook into with my swimbaits down there. I'm not going to be able to afford a guide or boat rentals so I'm going to be limited to fishing from shore. I'll most likely be fishing the late afternoon into evening time. Is there anyone from the area that's willing to point me in the right direction? Looking at google maps it sure does look like there are a lot of ponds to fish in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Area. From a swimbait angle is there any I should look at over others? From a selfous standpoint I'd like to hit a home run and find a nice place to fish compared to striking out for 13 days and find the right pond a day before I have to come back. Any help is appreciated, thank you folks.
cchoww
If your are near the Carrollton area, try the big pond behind the Carrollton library. It usually has grass in it but with the cold weather, that shouldn't be a factor. Water is usually tea color but we've been having a lot of rain and windy days. TheGoodCat
Love me some Texas hospitality! It's very much appreciated I'll be in Dallas from the 6th-17th. I don't know exactly where I'm staying at as of right now. I'll have my hotel and rental car information by the 4th though, already got my plane tickets. I don't think I'll be able to bring my true swimbait gear down but I do have a 3 piece steelhead rod that's good for slinging weedless 6" huddlestons. Thank you everyone who replied already. Top Ramen
GoodCat, go to the 'got'em' section and post up "nice fish" until your post count hits five. Then you can send PMs.

TheGoodCat
Sorry about the delayed posts, a moderator has to approve my posts before their actually posted up on the website. Work has been keeping me busy but I will be able to get my fishing in Monday for sure. My email is: tgc.paulroach@gmail.com If anyone wants to get a hold of me so we can meet up in the Dallas area and do some fishing. I'm staying at the Grand Hotel right off of I-635 and I-75. I'll probably try to fish white rock or bachman this afternoon/evening. Again thanks again SU for the hospitality.
