TLRMADE
I have only been throwing the bigger swimabits since this past November. I have seen them before and always thought they were just too big for my area. I have always thought why throw a bigger bait when I am catching fish on the smaller baits such as worms, crank baits, and spinners. I finally convinced myself last night. I have fished this pond before with worms and spinners and caught tons of fish. I have been throwing bigger swimbaits in the pond most recently and been catching bigger fish than ive ever caught before. Last night after I caught one on the Baby Wake I decided to throw a worm and caught a 2.2lber. I thought it was funny bc all the fish I have caught on the worm are smaller than 2lbs. The bigger fish that I have caught in here have all been on the FS Floater Bass and Baby Wake. I have now proven to myself that to catch the bigger fish I need to use the bigger baits. I have missed a total of 8 fish on the Baby Wake that have come up and nailed the bait but for some reason did not get a hookup? IM A BELIEVER NOW!!! Smaller 2lber on blue Senko: Bigger fish on Swimbaits: 3.8lber: 3lbers: First Swimbait Fish: Cheeeesin

Mossypumpkin
First off, a jig is my favorite bait. That being said I had an interesting experience last fall. I was catching swimbait fish all week long. All nice fish, 3 to 4 lbs. I decided to pick up the jig for a bit and started hammering fish, all 2 to 3lbs. Went right back to the 6" hudd and instantly started getting 3 and 4 pounders. They really do catch bigger fish! Nice job with the floating baits! bigworm
Use a bigger jig! I am all about the swimmers, but a big jig has a better/bigger profile than a little hudd! If you are getting 3-4 lbers on the 6" hudd, just imagine what the "real" big 8" bait will do for you!
missinfish
I think when they are keying in on big baits they definitely work! That being said, I agree the jig can be a killer bait as well as big worms at times. All big fish baits. And always throw a rat!

flaswimbaiter
I put a 316 minnow on a rattling jighead. I have not had a chance to use it yet, but I am sure it will produce. I is about 6" in length and stands up right like a minnow feeding on the bottom. Keep throwing big baits and that PB of your will not last long, I guarantee you there are fish twice that size in that lake.
