Deps 115

Anyone have any expierence with this bait? Looks like a good size to trigger more quantity of bites.

if you have thrown the 250 and are considering the 115 because of this. none of the baits in their lineup (in my opinion) have a the glide of a 250.

 

im still trying to mess with the weights and setup to even get the 175 to have the same type of swim. it glides, but its no where close to the 250. i dont even throw the 175 because of this.

 

generally speaking a smaller lure will indeed get bit more

Swaver would do the job. The 115 is pretty tiny.

Personally 115 way to small for a glide bait I wouldn't go any smaller than 175 size in any glide bait

They just don't glide far enough for my taste

I haven't thrown any deps before. I picked up an S-waver as well to compair the two. The only glide baits I have thrown are my Roman negotiators. Just looking for something smaller for when they aren't feeling the larger baits.

The smaller the bait, the narrower the glide. I have one, but it is used more as a twich bait in saltwater.

I've been fishing my 115 and it's ok. The glide is minimal, but I think it would be great for bass feeding on smaller baits. Water is still cold here so I haven't been out much to really work the bait. Tried to use it in 10+ ft of water where the bass are still here and no luck.

All the sizes are different as far as gliding goes. The bigger baits do make lengthier glides than the smaller ones. The 175 does not glide as well as the 250, even the stock Deps Slide Swimmer 175's swim just so-so in my opinion. It does walk well and it excels when twitching to walk it. The 250 I like better though because it doesn't take as much effort to work properly.

I fish the 250 quite a bit, and once I saw the 115 I wanted one for a keychain, haha.

But, once I received it I knew I had to try it out. Anyways it's a blast if you're bored and don't mind smaller fish just absolutely crushing the bait. Like someone said above it does fish like a jerk bait but it is still fun and I work it just like the 250.

I have a 115 in trout and the bass at my lake love it. So what if it doesn't "glide like a 250" I think you can make it dart easier which I think works better.
