  1. mine would be the optimum OB minnow ! in a pond this funky fish wakes like a bad bitznch and works !!
  2. for the hell of it i bought one ( only because i work at bass pro shops and get a killer discount !) and i literally looked through the entire rack to find one with a nice tail. I have casted mine about ten times and i think the paint could be better.... the hooks suck so do the split rings . So you are basically getting what you pay for... a cheap swimbait. overall mine swam good though , and thats the only thing i found giving it a plus. I think these are good repaint candidates and some new hardware also ~ HH
  3. give some seguar senshi #20 a try.....love it myself and havent had any reason to find diffent~
  4. ...... i love the ad they used.....reminds me of a male enhancment pill ad ! Ha
  5. ~ Just throwing out my 2cents on this rod..... I recently bought this rod as a replacement for my dobyns 806hsb since my dobyns was f**king broken, i really liked my 806 as i rarely launched larger than 7.5" baits . . i won't lie i was very skeptic about buying this phenix just because ive never fished one and didnt research sh*t on them before buying but none the less it is a badass rod ! for instance my 806 felt more like you were "lobbing" baits when you cast, but this phenix has that custom blank feel to it and instead of "lobbing" you cast with more of a "snap" feel instead....hope this makes sense ha ! , i know there are differences like the 806hsb has two more eyes and the handles and reel seats are drastically differ but for anyone interested in buying one i would advise it highly (compared to other rods in the $150~$200 range). I have casted a wide range of different weight baits and this rod functioned awsome especially with the 8" hudds....it would blast them out further than any 8' rod ive used before, in my opinion the phenix M1 rods are truly worth their $$$. ** i was using mine with 20# senshi line **
  6. ... been having some issues with my toro revo winch 61... so i just went against my grain (of using mono) and laced my reel with redlabel floro 20#...... and my setup is working SMOOOoOth with it !! ive always been a mono guy but damn i might be on bolth sides of the argue now!!!! getting a full hpr supertune set of bearings in the mail soo also!! its gonna be a awsome launcher
  7. on another note.... how does the tatula hold up? while holding the lexa and the tatula in hand at the sports store the tatula almost feels like it would be mo' betta'
  8. ...title explains, looking for a used left hand lexa, never owned or tried one and my revo is wearing out.... so if anybodys got a old one (300 or 400 dont matter) they would like to sell please pm me ~ thanks HH
  9. used a heavy primer base , didnt start with a seal. I might epoxy this one yet ~ i didnt want to seal it first just in case i wanted to change the color scheme or reshape a section or reduce weight. but i may just leave it and seal the sh#t out of it with a epoxy coat, but for now it just has a heavy clear coat
  10. lmao ! thats my troll trap topic !! totally legit though~
  11. ~ Finnally finnished my recent bait.... 8" long solid hickory, glide bait (a.k.a= Filthy stranger) is done.....crazy labor time on this bait. seven hours on first day, and almost eight yesterday... but by the end of yesterday i was able to test it and get a bite already...... crazy to think it was a axe handle a couple days ago !!!! btw it is very hard to work with hickory but it doesnt take much to ballast it !! good stuff and harder than steel !!! bait is 8 1/8" long with ss eyes and owner hardware. plan on getting some definite use out of it ~
  12. ~ All ive ever wanted to do is enter a tourney and compete ... and maybe place ... well last night a freind and i teamed up for a local night tourney and we mopped them up!!! we barrowed another friends northriver boat and we won the camp far west lake night tourney with a weight of 12.25(5 spotted bass) and a bolth big fish weights of 4.10 and 4. !!!!!!!!! i cant even begin to tell people how happy i am right now !! there were sponsored compeditors and many high end boats ..so we thought it would be a narrow margin to win.....but we did it AND GOT PAID !
  13. ~ just wondering what folks would recomend for swimbait fishing lake spots at night !! ?? , i know a dozen or so other baits besides swimbaits that will get bit but if theres anyone recomending a specific swimbait for night fishing them i would like to hear about it.... thanks for reading guys , ive got a night tourney sat nite and its on like Dk!
  14. lmao.."never give up! " thats a nice fish and a priceless picture
  15. ~ thats what im talkin about ! good deeds never go unseen ! power to you brother thats awsome !!!!!!!!
