I would say get both! 2 totally different baits. I use both on a regular basis. 10" freestyle moves more freely (nice S) and the BA is a little tighter movement

I don't use snaps or anything. I directly tie on. If I am looking to get more movement out of the bait then I just work it more with the rod. I find snaps and things like that will just give more reasons on breaking off a bait or losing a fish. Only thing I use snaps on are on my tradition top water 7'3 rods. Thats all.

Thats cool you are a collector and I do respect that. For me on the other hand I don't collect, I use everyone of my baits. Personally I rather catch a 10 Plus bass on a bait then looking at a bait on a shelf which is collecting dust. This is just my opinion so please NOTE I am not bashing on any collectors nor while I ever. Ryan

Welcome to the site! I would recommend only taking your swim bait rods and leave your other rods at home. Try to throw swim baits for a month straight. This will build confidence and help on understanding the versatility of the bait. Its very hard to do, but it will pay off. Ryan

I know you can get the ABEC 5 bearings through shimano, but you can't get them to do anything more for you as far as upgrades. Another thing that is worth mentioning, changing bearings won't affect your warranty, but other mods, like the drag upgrade, can void your warranty. It definitely never stopped me though. The carbontex drags are top notch, and much cleaner than the stock dartanium drags of the shimanos. How much of a difference is it changing it to a ABEC 5 bearing? This replaces the bearing on the spool right?

Don't know just talk to him about a rod? Just like Mickey said LDC XXH w/ a calcutta 400te is perfect for the 10" and Believe for other baits soon to come.
