  1. That's cool! But check out Baramundi fishing, those fish are nuts!
  2. will also fit 300/400 TE and older Conquest, bump.
  3. Thanks Brian! Glad to do it Thanks for stopping by Matt! Appreciate it! Couple more today. Geoff
  4. Everyone who ordered so far, glasses going out today! Thanks guys Some examples: Geoff
  5. Agreed. Know what you are getting yourself into before you take the plunge. This is not even long considering the wait times or some other custom stuff. Take bamboo fly rods, there's several people that make them, and once you are on the list, the wait time is 5-7 year BEFORE your build starts. Take it for what it's worth, but if you don't have patience in swim baiting, you're in the wrong facet of fishing...

    Choked it

Not too shabby! Hopefully some of those dock fish from the other day get hungry. Some of those were BIG!
  7. The 300/400 TE and Conquest pre-2015 line have the same driveshaft size as Daiwa. Not sure on the 2015 Conquest, as I haven't tried any new handles on those.
  8. I think he's looking for more of the aesthetic side of things, rather than performance based. I sent him a few PM's
  9. (562) 375-6800 Call and shoot them the part numbers. If you need the part numbers, schematic is here: http://www.daiwaweb.com/us/service/manuals/image/baitcasting/TDPLUTON200H.pdf
  10. Pretty sure if you are "in" before the above post happens, you're good
  11. Correct, anyone who post "in" after the code has posted, will not be able to submit any fish caught within the tourney.
  12. Those size baits will have a much better time on a 300 sized reel. Cardiff or Curado 300, but also depends on your preference of round vs low profile. Personally the curado 300 is solid and tough to beat.
  13. Cat, http://swimbaitunderground.com/forums/index.php?/topic/30276-duel-hardcore-twitchn-ninja-on-tw/ Nice fish man! Very thick!
  14. What kind of weird bites/techniques have you guys encountered? Two of my most vivid ones: One city park lake, for about 2 weeks the fish would not look at a bait unless is had grass/weeds attached to it. I had to literally drag my hudd through weeds to get some attached to it, in order to get any interest. Caught 4 over those two weeks, with thick weeds on the head...weird fish Fishing slammers around sea walls at night, typically the fish would smash the bait parallel to the walls. For a few weeks at night over the summer, they wouldn't touch the bait close to wall. You had to cast at the wall and retrieve perpendicular to the wall, rather than along it. The fish would hit almost exactly half way between the wall and boat, every time. Fun couple of weeks once we found out.
  15. Answered your own question man! lol In all honesty, they are decent reels for the price. With a little love they smooth out really nice. Everything boils down to what you said, personal preference. The gear ratios I think also played a fair role in the popularity, more options for everyone.
  16. I'd add a triple trout to that list. Quite a few people have had success on good size Browns with that action.
  17. Sometimes that's as simple as just cleaning and re-lubing, if at worst the clutch lever spring. Easy fix. No problem at all. Glad to help.
  18. Replace All levelwind components, only way I have had any success fixing the issue. The worm gear itself is light aluminum, and wears out fast, as well as the idle gear that sits on the worm gear shaft. They made them round, which is the issue, and allows it to essentially spin freely and lock the level wind in place. Replace 76,78, the pawl, and the idle gear at the base of the driveshaft. I know it's a pain, but that's the only downfall of that reel.
  19. I'd say true to an extent, but fishing blindly and catching a bed fish, in my mind is much different than willingly pulling a visible fish off a bed. Everyone has done it, or still does, part of bass fishing. Also think at this given time of year, there's fish in every stage, pre/spawn/post in most lakes. If you post openly about bed fish on here, you're going to catch some comments for sure! In either case, good looking fish dude.
  20. Insert sarcasm. Pretty sure that was Ceaser's point. He's not worried about quality control after so many people had issues with them.
  21. Although I don't have mine yet (tomorrow), if you are burying the barbed hook point into the bait, chop it off, and bend the point straight down to tuck into the bait. Worked very well in the past for soft baits for me. Just a thought
