  1. I still don't believe fish see colors as much as shades, the white probaby looks the same as the sissy to them.
  2. I thought about trying that but with all the sticksups I could lose my net that cost more that the bait. I might do it anyways.
  3. I went back with a rake and one of those expandable rods with the cutter on the end for chopping limbs and covered that whole area, but no luck. Man that water was cold, If I knew exactly where it was I would probably swim for it.
  4. That's a sweet bait and fish Sam, I sure wish I could get my hands on one of those.
  5. Yeah, I am a shore fishman most of the time. I knew it was a matter of not "if" but "when" I would lose one, I was just hoping it would not be so soon.
  6. Beside punkers are there any other topwater "walk the dog" types baits out there in the 6-7" range?
  7. Can you guys include what you are chucking your baits with? I would like to see your set ups. I will post a pic once I replace my FS shad I lost tonight.
  8. I wish, no some underwater structure, I am going there tomorrow with a rake and my waders to see if I can retrieve it but I doubt it.
  9. I just lost my favorite bait tonight does any one have a green, blue or lavendar SS shad they can sell me?
  10. Come on CombatWombat, you know we want to see those HUGE bucketmouths!
  11. Rookie: Yeah, like a freight train, took me about 15 minutes of dancing around trees and bushes to get her in. Rock: No, we don’t get real big ones in our area for some reason, I think snook like this one eats them. The big ones we do get come out on the flat in the spring, hopefully my baby wake or floating herring will catch some of them. WOW, that is a huge calico, that fish has got to be over 12 years old. Very nice!!!
  12. Those are some nice fish and that bait looks sweet regardless of how you colored it. I like to customise baits like that all the time, I really beleive it can give you an edge.
  13. Biggest swimbait bass - 7 pounds on a FS shad Biggest swimbait fish? A 32" snook on a BBZ Shad
  14. Yes, I have to agree, I am having a hard time seeing certain text especially memeber's names.
  15. Nice fish, she is so fat her eyes are bugging out.
  16. I have only had mine about a week so I have not used it that much, but so far I like it much better than my Powell. This rod is much lighter, and to my surprise, much stiffer even though it is also a MH. The great part is I don't have to load the rod now when tossing a bait like a herring I can just chuck it out there and after a few outing I was getting more distance. What are your opinions of this rod? Did I waste my money? Got it on sale 20% off at TW during the Thanksgiving sale.
  17. Mine is the green back SS FS shad with the golden shiner being the second one. The shiner has caught me some fish but nothing of any size.
  18. I posted my flipside on "get em". My plan is to catch as many saltwater species as I can on 3:16 baits, so far I have only had follows but I am sure I will score eventually. I am waiting for Mickey to come out with the 6" trout, that would really help me. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=68
  19. I know it isn't a bass and was caught on a small soft swimbait, I just wanted to get this forum started.
