It is worth every penny. No commercial music and entire stations dedicated to the exact ganre you like. I've found TONS of new music I now love on there, that terrestrial radio would never touch!

Lotsa Megadeth, good amount of Pantera, some killswitch, some sevendust, been digging a very few Sabbath (Dio) tunes and Iron Maiden lately.

Kinda shotty, but just Plano 3700's with threaded rods, end caps from Home Depot and large swivel snap ends to hang the baits from. Match the swivel size to the rod and you have to thread the snaps on. Then they wont slide. - Baits and boxes are in a state of transition right now. They all don't need to be hung; but I prefer seeing everything at a glance on the water. Otherwise I forget about baits buried underneath. - I still need to tie a piece of braid, through a small hole, on the center of the rod in the one pic; you can see it's sagging just a bit. - I use a piece of glavanized wire for the line-thru's. -

Try out that book "scientific apporach to catching more fish" by keith a jones. There is a ton of stuff in there about research done and the findings from the studies. The findings are laid out for the reader to take in and formulate his own take on what they mean. - I'm one step ahead of yah my man! Definitely gonna grab that book.

Careful with paint strippers/acetone, anything like that. It not only will take the paint off, but can quickly destroy/crack the material the bait is made of. - I agree with light sanding.................don't ask me how I know.

That sucks Geoff! I feel for yah. That whole buying/selling a house is a F'ing pain in the a$$! The wife and I are on our 2nd, and hopefully last house. The whole process is such racket! Everytime we turn around in the home buying process; there's some shifty doings by the other agent each time. Then the underwriter yanking our chain hours before closing; etc, etc, etc. it's an absolute nightmare; and I have NO clue how people buy/sell with any frequency. - I think horse$h1t antics like that are just part of the homeownership process. - It's not just you my man.

Someone could surely jump in and correct me here; but my understanding is that fish do not see color the same way we do. So that pink bait, and other unusual colors probably don't look pink to fish?

I know this thread has slipped down a few pages; but not only pink, but don't shy away from other unusual colors too. In case you didn't notice; ole Mickey has a pretty good idea what he's doing! - I know some get tired of hearing me talk about Table Rock, but I've had good luck in those clear waters, (10+' visibility) Bull Shoals, even clearer. - Many times fishing natural colors won't work for us, but I have painted a couple FS Shad in a Table Rock Shad color (it's holding up ......okay; but it surely won't last like the original work) and other unusual colors; and done quite well with them. - Those not familiar with TRS. It's any variation of chartreuse sides and purple back. I tried to take a pic, but my stupid iphone just makes it look yellow and blue for some reason.

Not to jump around here; but to add to what was said previously. Those smallies will hit 7" baits with a smile. I can't speak for california waters with smallies; but Table Rock and Bull Shoals hold nice populations, and I've caught quite a few on 7" single joint swimbaits.
