[X-Mas]

Didn't make ask for anything material this year much to the family and friends' annoyance. Just told dad I'd like for us to go fishing more, and he said will do. So, I'm set.

 

If anything, I'd like him to get into freshwater swimbaiting (he'll throw 3-5in saltwater lead heads w/swimbaits), but he likes his dropshot gear too much. Just gotta start him off small, and then work up to bigger trout baits.

 

New Year's resolution: Get Dad throwing 8in+ baits.

 

 

been working on my pops with this, gave him an 8" mission fish. I don't think he's tried to fish it though. We live in different states so i can't influence him with swimbaits as much as i'd like to. As far as wish lists, i need a te 400 to go with my LowDown but i don't think Santa can afford it right now.

Not a dumb question at all! You just have to hunt them down from people selling them used or be on the lookout on the 3:16 website.

[Suspending hard swimbaits]

I think that if you put a lip on a bait that has the buoyancy of Mickeys heavy floater or maybe a hair heavier, you'd have that bait. Kinda how the suspending xraps barely float until you crank them down into the water column. I'd say that if he put out a heavy floater Arm you'd have that bait also.

same here, the reason I don't care for tripple fish is that it seems to have alot more memory than other monos. Switched to big game and am enjoying it.
