  1. Which series are you referring to? My custom is nowhere near a slow taper. Also, why in the world would you want a slow tapered rod for hudds?
  2. They Kencor H and curado 300 is the only setup allowed for punker fishing.
  3. Just because you aren't partial to the backstory doesn't mean that there isn't one.
  4. If it's a 4 door tacoma your rods will fit just fine in the cab. Either that, or stick em out the back window or put them in the bed.
  5. Hit up MOAM 51/50 rods too, they do some killer work.
  6. you mean the one that forgot to test swim 10 baits?
  7. If you were to have a "season" in CA, you would pretty much eliminate any chance of the world record coming from CA and probably the US.
  8. Osprey that the rising son is based off of and the savage gears.
  9. Not really. I would still recommend the same baits today.
  10. You should probably go to a different rod builder...
  11. The spiral wrap has been used extensively for good reason. I could care less about less guides, but it reduces torque under load assuming that the blank is splined properly.
  12. It has nothing to do with the guides, it has to do with guide placement and double foot vs single foot. Your rod builder should know how to spiral a rod and require advice from the customer. Personally I think Adam Cargill has the best spiral wrap formula, but you'd have to buy a rod from him to see it
  13. You should have seen it when Mickey was actually on here....
  14. Drift is a cool bait, so is a Hinkle. Both are from legit dudes.
  15. http://www.meltontackle.com/products/grundens-weather-watch-bib.html http://www.meltontackle.com/products/grundens-gage-storm-surge-2-5-layer-bib-trouser.html
  16. Grundens Gage is Okay, they make a Watch pant that's decent but you'd probably get wet sitting down in pants so go with the bibs. I have a shimano jacket I really like, but the pro qualifier bibs are hard to beat. I usually wear Herkules Bibs but they'd be way too hot for FL.
  17. Just buy whatever color off TW, they all get bit
  18. JSJ has actually built a ton of baits over the years.
  19. Marc at Performance or Cam at Moam. Both high quality builders. Performance rods tend to be more function oriented than blinged out though, just an fyi. Building a rod isn't super difficult, but it's hard to make them look good and you don't want to start with an expensive blank and parts. I was fortunate enough to have Adam Cargill teach me how to wrap, and even then it's a learning curve.
  20. Why carry the fish around in the well if you aren't fishing a tourney?
  21. A mark all read option for all of the forums would be nice too....
