Great to hear I hope this boat will be more reliable than the last. I have blown a motor 3 times and man does it hurt the pocketbook. Hope the new motor runs forever. Now all you have to do is get out there and enjoy your time on the water.

Thanks James I appreciate the great feedback. I hope you pound them this week on your trip to Lake Fork. I hope you do not die from heat exhaustion though and we all should be praying for it to rain in Texas.

Sorry to hear that Don I know how you feel . It sounds like the 86 175 Black Max that I blew up two times and had to have the lower unit rebuilt. I blew up my 98 Mariner about 3 or 4 years ago. Thank God for good friends he tore the whole motor apart put new rings on all of the pistons etc.But it still cost a bunch because my power pack went out on me. I had to force a used G Loomis rod on him and a fishing trip or two. I hope you will find someone to help you with your motor but it sounds like you need to look for a good used motor that someone has rebuilt that is of a reliable reputation or one with few miles. Good luck in your search if I see anything I will give a holler.

Stabbed in the back one to many times by people you thought were your friends . And if you had not read before, the first time I won a B.A.S.S region 4 motherlode tournament some idiot started a rumor that I was gay . When I look at it know it is funny but back then I was furious. My tournament partner called me "The Gay Blade" . The friendships that have been lost over a silly green fish and the almighty dollar and of course, last but not least "pride". I would have a hard time trusting "anyone" to fish tournaments on a regular basis again and I know I am not the only one that feels that way. A true friend is a rare find now days and I thank God for each and every one of them. We should be looking out for one another instead of using others until we do not need them any more and then throw them away. Fishing for me was all about family,friends, and good times, some of my best memories that I will keep with me forever. The time on the water with my father was irreplaceable. We need to focus on these things again and redefine the word "friend" which to me is almost as important as family and I count a few as family today. What ever happened to "humble"? why is everything a pissing contest. What about "honesty" and your word being as good as gold. Am I asking for to much in a friend or person in general. To me a friend is a friend to the end. If their truck breaks down and they need your help to tow your boat home at 2am you are there. If their family is sick they will call you for prayer or support and you will be there. I could go on and on but I will spare you. My post has nothing to do with who is right or wrong as I have no right to judge what I personally know nothing about but it brakes my heart to see friendships end or what we thought were friendships over the almighty dollar, pride, and a silly green fish. In closing I have learned one thing about life, it is not about the fish but they are sure fun to catch.
