go into the menu under the sonar options and set the unit on freshwater mode (which is 0-60ft). (Note: When you go into the bay for calicos just change it back to saltwater mode). By doing this it will reduce the amount of time it takes for the sonar to adjust once you put the trolling motor back into the water. Also put the unit on auto sensitivity and that will help as well. I am too lazy for stand by mode...but it is a good option.

funny part is that it is that simple

Don't worry twinkle toes...you can always borrow the steelers pants and relieve your beloved Rams loss in Super Bowl XIV next time we leave for the water at o'dark thirty.

What could that ever mean? haha. I really do a bad job fishing with others, i always feel like they don't trust me or would rather be fishing a different way or different area. Dustin emerges. I was gonna give him ish, but I figurged one of us would. He wouldn't have the great etiquette like buzzing the tower, cursing in russian or hucking baits at trout boats...let alone your infamous carps techniques...lol

This was taken from another site: ALERT! Yellow-Legged Frog going on CA ESL will stop tr..." !!!!ALERT!!!! We only have until 3-18-11 by 5PM to submit comments to DFG on this one. If this happens trout planting in CA will become a thing of the past in most waters, just to protect this frog. I have just learned that CA DFG intends to put the Mountain Yellow-Legged Frog on the CA Endangered Species List. They supposedly announced this Feb 16, 2011 and gave us until Mar 18 to submit public comments. Did anyone else hear about this? Here's there public notice. http://cdfgnews.wordpress.com/2011/02/1 ... ged-frogs/ Who's behind this? The Center for Biological Diversity. Here's their Press Release from Jan 2010 which puts most of the blame squarely on DFG and trout planting. http://www.biologicaldiversity.org/news ... -2010.html Here is a link to the Wikipedia page on this frog: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_y ... egged_frog DFG has already stopped planting in some places, but if this widely spread frog population is put on the CA ESL it could force them to shut down planting in a whole lot more streams and lakes. We need to write Letters to DFG now, to oppose the listing of this frog. Time is short, so please E-mail your comments to Mitch Lockhart at: MYLF@dfg.ca.gov or send overnight to this address: Fisheries Branch – High Mountain Lakes Program Department of Fish and Game Attn: Mitch Lockhart 830 S St. Sacramento, CA 95811 Mitch's Office # (530) 906-3934

That was a little too close bro. I am glad that only you saw the bait coming at my head...I was focused on your fish. lol

Yep, I did that and made the mistake of not changing the name when uploading the pic. Can be problematic in certain situations. I learned the hard way this year. LOL

16lb cat on the rising son, on straight 80 braid at night was the most viscious bite I have ever had and the longest fight. That bastard pulled drag on my sinched down calcutta. Jay's face when he saw the disappointment in my eyes as he netted that whiskered beast and plopped it on my back deck was priceless. Figuring how to get all three trebles out with the cats mouth pinned shut was a cluster phuk. Nothing like swimbaiting at night in 20 degree weather....you never know what you are gonna get.
